It is both an honor and a profound responsibility to be associated with the Ken-Betwa Link Project—a transformative endeavor poised to rewrite the future of Bundelkhand.
For generations, this region has faced water scarcity that has tested the resilience of its people. Today, we stand at the threshold of change. This project will bring life-giving water to parched lands, unlocking new opportunities for agriculture, prosperity, and growth.
Ten districts across Madhya Pradesh—Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Niwari, Panna, Damoh, and Sagar—will witness enhanced irrigation capabilities that will transform farming practices and livelihoods. In Uttar Pradesh, the districts of Banda, Mahoba, Lalitpur, and Jhansi will similarly benefit from this watershed initiative.
With an investment of approximately ₹45,000 crore, we are not merely building infrastructure—we are building hope. Dam construction is already underway, and tenders for canal construction from Daudhan Dam to Betwa River will be released shortly. Each milestone brings us closer to delivering on our promise to the people of Bundelkhand.
We recognize that great projects demand great responsibility. The Ken-Betwa Link Project presents a complex challenge: advancing critical infrastructure while safeguarding our environmental heritage and wildlife corridors. Equally important is our commitment to the dignified resettlement of project-affected families, ensuring that progress is inclusive and compassionate.
These challenges, though significant, will not deter us. The Ken-Betwa Link Project is more than engineering excellence. It is a promise of renewal for Bundelkhand. With meticulous planning, unwavering dedication, and collaborative effort, we will deliver this project on time. More importantly, we will deliver it right—creating sustainable benefits that will endure for generations.
